Interim Food Programs for Fall Term

(Posted September 15, 2026) Construction continues on the new on-campus Student Food Pantry, which is expected to open later in this academic year. In the meantime, the Basic Needs Program will offer two interim food programs to help students access nutritious food during fall term.

Beginning September 29, Trillium Produce Plus Produce Drops will take place every Tuesday at 2:45 p.m. in the EMU Amphitheater. Presented by the Student Sustainability Center, Produce Drops are open until the food runs out. In addition to fresh produce, the Basic Needs Program will amend the usual offerings with supplemental shelf-stable food items throughout fall term.

The Basic Needs Program is also partnering with Food for Lane County’s Mobile Food Pantry to bring their pop-up style market to campus three times this fall:

  • October 8
  • October 21
  • December 7

Find the mobile pantry near 15th Avenue and Agate Street (on the north side of Hayward Field) from noon to 2:00 p.m. A variety of pantry staples, proteins, and fresh produce will be available.

These two programs will help support students’ food needs until the Student Food Pantry opens this winter.
